Member Resource Center Expanded

New Tools Now Available to All SEIU Local 503 Stewards and Members

On May 24 2010, SEIU Local 503 announced the expansion of three new tools for stewards: the Member Resource Center, the Grievance Database and the Resource Center for Stewards. The MRC was previously available as a pilot program for certain sub-groups of Local 503 members, and is now available to all members.

The first step if you have a workplace issue or grievance is to contact your worksite steward. Make sure you talk to your steward FIRST, before calling the MRC.

Grievance Database & Steward Resource Center

The SEIU 503 Grievance Data Base (GDB) is a web-based application that stewards can access in order to:
•    File and track grievances
•    Update membership information
•    Access resource documents that support stewards

We urge all stewards to use the GDB when filing and processing grievances. The Resource Center for Stewards provides access to helpful information, tips on preparing grievances, and Leadership Training manuals. If you are a steward and need a user ID and password, check with your organizer or call the MRC.
